What is FTP
FTP stands for file transfer protocol. You use an FTP whenever you upload or download files from or to the internet. You need to use an FTP to upload the files from the website you built to get it on the internet so people can see it when they type in your website address (URL). It comes in real handy when you are adding Retail rights products to a website to sell. You can upload entire files and it is quite easy to use. I use Smart ftp. There are different ways to use an FTP, such as free FTP or a software program you can purchase.
